What changed in 2026

The feed shifted from network-based (your friends' posts) to interest-based (posts that match what you are interested in). At the same time, LinkedIn began cross-referencing post topics with the author's listed profession, title, and skills. Posts where the topic and the profile do not align are deprioritised.

Specialists with a tight profile (one topic, one buyer, one perspective) are surfaced repeatedly to readers whose interests match. Generalists are surfaced inconsistently because no single audience reliably matches them.
